Head Teachers

Kylie Moore is a qualified ECE teacher and has worked in a range of Early Childhood Centres and kindergartens including managing a Wellington centre. Kylie now lives on a farm in Ngatapa with her family, she returned to Gisborne Montessori in 2015 and is enjoying further extending her knowledge by completing her Montessori Diploma. Kylie has a real passion for working with children and enjoys seeing them achieve new goals and progress throught the Montessori Curriculum.

Quannah Nickerson  has completed her Bachelor of ECE and holds a diploma of Performing Arts. In the past  she has been a student and reliever at our preschool. Four of Quannah's children have attended Beehive 2. Quannah worked as a homebased caregiver while caring for her own children. She is working towards her Montessori Diploma. Maria Montessori's philosophy aligns with her own teaching philosophy, in particular the aspect of respect.

Anna Hibbert qualified as an Early Chidhood teacher in 2008. She has been working at Montessori in 2015 and is looking forward to furthering her knowledge about Montessori teaching practices. She enjoys seeing children develop their independence.

Gillian Stevenson teaches in the Afternoon Programme. She has a diploma of teaching ECE and post graduate qualifications in education. Gillian has taught in a range of early childhood settings, primarily with preschool age children. She teaches to encourage children to develop both a love of learning and confidence in their own developing abilities.
